Three principles have guided my work as a Perth City Councillor.
All three are critical to ensuring the City we love is happy, healthy, and active— a place residents enjoy living in, visitors enjoy experiencing, and businesses prosper in.
Listen
My first responsibility is to listen to all stakeholders, regardless of their background or affiliation.
Action
My second responsibility is to take action and accomplish tasks in a timely manner for all stakeholders.
Can
The Perth City Council is at its best when we all think 'can do,' not 'can't do.' I do!
I am firmly committed to investing in Perth through our ambitious 2025-26 budget – designed to make the City one of the worlds most liveable, with initiatives including:
-
$4.38 million in lighting upgrades to enhance safety and vibrancy
-
$8.2 million to create a safe, connected transport network for vehicles, cyclists and pedestrians
-
$20.3 million to grow our urban tree canopy and maintain beautiful, green public spaces
Determination
I am determined to do what I can, working with fellow councillors and the community I serve to:
-
Create a brighter, greener future through revitalised public spaces, year-round events, smart infrastructure, and sustainable investments that enhance environmental performance.
-
Create the most liveable, sustainable and prosperous community possible.
-
Drive accountability, integrity, and respect at every level of local government.
I will always take a strong stand to protect our community—opposing antisocial behaviour, the loss of public open space, increased traffic, and inappropriate scooter hire in inner-city areas – and will continue to do so
Throughout my term, I’ve taken a strong stand to protect our community—opposing antisocial behaviour, the loss of public open space, increased traffic, and inappropriate scooter hire in inner-city areas.
Above all, I’ve prioritised safety, security, vibrancy, and the positive image of our City in every decision
